Cong should come clear on BJP queries: Balbir

Jammu, April 15 (Scoop News)-Raising several questions over the antecedents of the Congress and the former Sadar-e-Riyasat, Ex Union Minister, Dr. Karan Singh, the BJP has asked the Congress leadership to explain their position on historic events, moreso, the lofty utterances of their leaders.
BJP State Spokesperson & Media Incharge for Udhampur-Doda-Kathua Parliamentary Constituency, Balbir Ram Rattan, said that people have every right to know the past track of the parties and their candidates in the fray, particularly Congress, which represented Udhampur Constituency for decades together but development and welfare were never on their agenda.
The Congress, which joined hands with NC to contest elections, should explain as to who forced the Dogra ruler Maharaja Hari Singh to leave his state, live in exile in Bombay and die there in a sad situation away from his people.
“Congress should clear its position whether it endorses the promise of NC for two Prime Ministers in the country”, said Balbir, informing that the same Congress itself abolished the post of Prime Minister in Jammu & Kashmir by a Constitutional Amendment on 30 March, 1965 and brought in G.M. Sadiq as first Chief Minister.
The Spokesperson questioned Congress to introspect honestly whether it can go to any extent to play with the history and side with any party, irrespective of its credentials, views on nationalism and hate for the national symbols.
Balbir reminded the people of Doda, Bhaderwah, Kishtwar, Bani, Basohli of the natural bounty in their areas, which did not get attention of their representative and the then Union Tourism Minister Dr. Karan Singh. The same MP also headed important portfolio of Union Health and Civil Aviation Ministries, why he failed to bring prestigious health institutions and adequate infrastructure for the people. Will Congress explain why Jammu Airport or Railway Station could not be dedicated in the memory and name of Maharaja Hari Singh.
It is also a million dollar question why the Congress gave mandate to a person, who was few month ago PDP MLC, remained deadly anti-Congress and fomented venom against it. Has the Congress turned politically so bankrupt that it did not get a person suitable for the party mandate possessing credibility and consistency.
