| Anantnag police destroys poppy cultivation in Bijbehara | |
Srinagar,May -14 (Scoop News)- Anantnag police accompanied by team of Excise and Revenue Department in their recent action against contraband cultivation, destroyed poppy cultivation in Bijbehara area of District Anantnag.
The team destroyed poppy cultivation spread on about 10 Kanals of land at village Tulkhan, Bijbehara.
General public of the area have appreciated the action of joint team and have urged the authorities to continue this drive in nearby areas also.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding cultivation of contrabands in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling & cultivation of contraband substances shall be dealt as per law.
Our consistent actions against such anti-social elements should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
