JKPCC has expressed grave concern over the situation in Bhaderwah


Jammu, May -16 (Scoop News)-Jammu Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee has expressed grave concern over the situation in Bhaderwah area of district Doda following the killing of one person namely Nayeem Ahmed and asked the government to identify the culprits and book them under law of the land for award of stern punishment.



In a statement President PCC Shri G. A. Mir and other senior leaders of the party strongly condemned the incident and termed it as most unfortunate as nobody has the right to take law in to his hands what so ever may be the provocation. They said that those who are found guilty must be booked for severe punishment under the law of land. The investigating agency should investigate the incident in a most fair and professional manner so that justice is done.



Congress leaders appealed to the people especially the senior citizens of both the communities to play their role for maintaining communal harmony in the area. They also appealed to the government not to allow anyone to take advantage of the situation and to disturb peace and religious brotherhood in the area.



Prominent signatories to the statement include S/Shri Raman Bhalla (VP), Vikramaditya Singh, Mohd. Sharief Niaz Ex-Minister, Ravinder Sharma-Chief Spokesperson, Naresh Gupta Ex-MLC and Sheikh Mujeeb President District Congress Committee Doda.

Vice President, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori has condemned the killing of Nayeem Ahmed Shah Resident of Qilla Mohalla from Bhaderwah in Doda district who was shot dead at around 2am by unknown gunmen.



Mr. Saroori said the vicious cycle of death and destruction seems to have no end in the Chenab Valley and said there is no place for such violence in any part of the county. I hope the residents of the area will cooperate with the administration and maintain calm.



He has urged Governor Satya Pal Malik and his administration to review the safety and security aspects of all Political Leaders, Sarpanches and people living in erstwhile Doda District. He has also urged the K Vijay Kumar, Advisor to Governor and Police department to ensure early arrest of those responsible for the killing and spare no one who so ever tries to create fear and panic among the people.



Expressing grief over the tragic loss of life, Mr. Saroori in a condolence message has prayed for peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family in its hour of grief beside this place for the departed soul in heaven.
