GDCT hails Court verdict in Rasana rape and murder case
express happiness and satisfaction


Jammu, June 11, (Scoop News)_In an extra ordinary executives meeting of Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust held at Trust office on Tuesday, members GDCT expressed full confidence and faith on the Judiciary of this great nation and expressed their happiness on the verdict of Hon’ble Court.

The Hon’ble Court has given its verdict in the Rasana rape and murder case of 8 year old girl in which 6 accused were convicted including a retired Govt official of Revenue Deptt. namely Sanjhi Ram who was kingpin and hatched the conspiracy.

Chairman Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust, Ch. Abdul Hamid said finally truth have prevailed and justice is delivered as it is a case of one of the most horrific crimes across India.

"We admire the Crime Branch for conducting the investigation in a professional manner,"said Ch Hamid.

He said that 8 year old girl was kidnapped as part of a conspiracy to drive out the minority nomadic community from the area in January 2018.

Minor girl was kept hostage, gang raped repeatedly. Four days later she was strangled and then bludgeoned with a stone to make sure that she was dead.

Now the Hon’ble Court at Pathankot has given its verdict within a record time of one year. Around 114 witnesses’ accounts were recorded in the case. Six accused were held guilty and seventh accused Vishal Jangotra, a juvenile was acquitted.

Ch Bashir Ahmed Noon (General Secretary), Mohd Yousaf Khepar(Treasurer) & other members also expressed their views while briefing the media persons.
