| ADG CRPF meets Governor,advises CRPF to heighten surveillance on all fronts in J&K | | 
Srinagar, July 09 (Scoop News)-Zulfiqar Hasan, ADG CRPF, J&K, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Sh. Hasan briefed Governor about the role being played by the CRPF for internal security management in the State and for the smooth conduct of ongoing Shri Amarnathji Yatra.
While lauding the important role being played by the CRPF in maintaining security in J&K, Governor advised heightened surveillance on all fronts.
Governor Satya Pal Malil on Tuesday advised Additional Director General (ADG) of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Zulfiqar Hasan to heighten surveillance on all fronts in the state, a Raj Bhavan spokesperson said here this afternoon.
He said Mr Hasan met Mr Malik at Raj Bhavan here and briefed him about the role being played by the CRPF for internal security management in the State.
Besides, he informed Governor about the measure taken for the smooth conduct of annual pilgrimage to Holy Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas, where so far 1.12 lakh pilgrims have darshan of the self made Ice-Lingam since the commencement of the yatra from July 1.
While lauding the important role being played by the CRPF in maintaining security in the state, the Governor advised heightened surveillance on all fronts, the spokesman said.
CRPF, besides playing important role in internal security management, is equally responsible in counter militancy operation along with Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police.
CRPF is also providing security to Amarnath pilgrims at all base camps from Jammu to Nunwan Pahalgam and Baltal base camps in Kashmir besides at holy cave shrine.
