| BJP for construction of all weather tunnels connecting Karnah, Gurez | |
Jammu,July 12 (Scoop News)-BJP State Spokesperson Dr. Tahir Choudhary wrote a representation to Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road, Transport & Highways demanding construction of all weather tunnels connecting Karnah and Gurez, the remotest villages of the state with national life line.
In the said representation, Dr. Tahir brought forth the plight of the people of Karnah and Gurez which remain disconnected throughout the year from the rest of the world because of inaccessibility of the roads.
Dr. Tahir, who was recently in an official visit by the party to Karnah and Gurez himself felt the plight of the people of Karnah and Gurez and was very much moved by the inaccessibility of all weather roads and lack of medical facilities as a consequence thereof and as such in his representation to Union Minister, Dr. Tahir stressed upon the fact that the people of Karnah and Gurez even can’t access the medical facilities as both the areas remained cut off from the valley and the people of these areas have to depend upon the local medical facilities.
