| Establishment of peace is incidental to elimination of terrorism: Chrungoo | |
Srinagar, ,July 12 (Scoop News)- BJP organised a press conference in Srinagar today. It was addressed by Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, BJP State Spokesperson on Kashmir Affairs who is currently on an official visit of the valley. Others who were present on the occasion included Manzoor Bhat, Incharge IT & Media Cell, Kashmir, Vijay Raina, Sarpanch and Salinder Singh, Office Secretary.
On the occasion, Chrungoo said that the primary objective of BJP in Kashmir remains peace but the establishment of peace is incidental to elimination of terrorism. The spree of death and destruction has to end at all costs. Cross border terrorism has to come to an end. Pakistan needs to mend its ways and requires to be seen, at a global level, as a state seriously involved in finishing terrorism. It will also have to come up to its promise that 'it will not allow its land and the land under its control to be used against India'. India has a consistent policy regarding terrorism and accordingly "terror & talks cannot go together". Then "Zero tolerance against terror and corruption" is the guiding principle of governance of the current Modi regime in power.
Some headlines like “We want Kashmiri Pandits to be part of our voice” are, seemingly, making their space in the media (print, social and electronic) for some days. It becomes important to clarify that the kinds of expose made by the investigations at NIA have revealed the real faces of the separatist elements in Kashmir. These elements are cautioned not to dream of any kind of bonhomie with the Kashmiri Pandit community in context of the so-called Voice of Kashmir.
Though Kashmiri Pandits need no certificate from anyone regarding their commitment to the nation, yet it needs to be made clear that the so-called Voice of Kashmir as propounded by the Hurriat is simply a facade and Kashmiri Pandits have nothing to do with it. Kashmir was, is and will always be an integral part of India. Any attempt to hoodwink a few Kashmiri Pandits in this regard by the Hurriat suggests that the Hurriat is feeling desperate and is playing a double game.
All are therefore, requested to remain vigilant and cautious, any exploitation of the displaced Kashmiri Pandit community in this regard will not be permitted at any cost. Hurriat is also cautioned to keep off its hands in regard to Kashmiri Pandits and in case it is so serious about the issue of Kashmir, it needs the following:
To bring Kashmiri society out of the quagmire of seven decades of fraud and deceit,
To shun violence and work for peace in Jammu & Kashmir.
To persuade the terror elements to surrender and present themselves to the Law of the land.
To work towards elimination of drug menace, radicalization of society and extremism in Kashmir valley and To extend its hand in making people aware about the futility of death, destruction and mayhem introduced in 1989-90 by the vested interests in Kashmir.
Developmental agenda of the Bharatiya Janata Party has assumed a wider acceptability among the masses in the state and the general public has shown extra interest in the membership drive of the party. With each day, the membership particularly among the youth and women has picked up and people from far flung areas have been enrolled as the party members. Both online and offline methods of membership are yielding appropriate results.
The administration has been requested to improve the conditions of roads in all the regions of the state and the concerned departments have also been asked to gear up so that the inter district highways are up to the mark within a reasonable time. Roads are indeed a priority so far as the developmental agenda is concerned. People are also appealed to constantly monitor developments regarding the conditions of roads and keep the administration and party updated in this context.
