Submitted Memorandum Chalking Out Various Demands

Jammu,July 12 (Scoop News)-A Deputation of PDL/TDL Daily Wagers Of Power development Department(PDD)called on Shri Sham Lal Sharma, former minister and BJP leader today. During the interaction , the deputation apprised of Mr Sharma about the various problems confronted by them. The glaring issue which they brought up was the discrimination between them and the valley employees.
There are about 735 employees in the pdd department having seven years service have since become eligible for promotion to the graded scale but have not yet been granted the same However it is astonishing that the employees belonging to Valley and are similarly placed have been considered for promotion having seniority upto 2012. However, in the case of such employees belonging to Jammu Region, out of 735 employees, only 200 plus are being considered for promotion under SRO 381.
It is not the first time when there has not been gross discrimination with the Jammu Region may it be selection of candidates for various posts , distribution of funds for various development works etc etc.
Shri Sharma expressed great anguish over the discrimination and said that all the three regions are equally governed by uniformed rules and policies. He expressed his concern on regularisation of pdd employees having seniority upto 2012 belonging to Kashmir Region have since been regularised but the fate of similar placed employees of Jammu Region is still hanging in balance.
