SKUAST-TAJ, delegations of NYC & Rehbar-e-Janglat, residents of Latti area call on Lt Governor
Jammu, February 13 (Scoop News)- A delegation of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology- Teaching Association Jammu (SKUAST-TAJ) called on the Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu at the Raj Bhavan here today.

The delegation led by Dr. Vikas Sharma comprising of Dr. Susheel Sharma, Dr. RK Samnotra, Dr. Vivek Arya , Dr. PK Rai and Dr. Rajeev Sangra apprised the Lt Governor about various welfare issues of the teaching fraternity and over-all development of varsity.

The delegation also raised issues related to requirement of additional faculties and division (Faculty of Horticulture, Faculty of Dairy Technology and Division of Seed Science and Technology); grant of benefits of CAS to Programme Assistants, Research Assistants and Technical Assistants;filling up of vacant teaching & non-teaching positions etc.

The Lt Governor, who is also the Chancellor of the University assured the delegation to take up their genuine issues for examination and further asked them to utilize latest teaching techniques and ensure high standards of teaching in the varsity.

A delegation of residents of Tehsil Latti headed by Sarpanch, Sh. Kasturi Lal Gupta also called on the Lt Governor and submitted a memorandum of demands pertaining to various developmental issues of Latti area including establishment of full-fledged Government Degree College, tapping vast potential of horticulture sector of the area, establishment of Munsiff Court, upgradation of the existing PHC to CHC and equipped it with all basic medical facilities with suitable number of doctors and other medical staff, establishment of Government offices at Tehsil headquarter, strengthening road network, development of the area on the line of tourists places etc.

A delegation of J&K NYC Association led by its President, Sh. Asif Ali Bhat raised a demand pertaining to the change of regularization pattern of National Youth Corps (NYCs).

Further, a delegation of J&K Rehbar-e-Janglat Employees Association led by its President, Sh. Jagjit Singh demanded the amendment of Rehbar-e-Janglat Policy at par other Rehbar Policies of J&K in respect of pay grade and cadre.

While interacting with the members of the delegations, the Lt Governor assured them to review the genuine issues and demands projected by them to redress them in a time bound manner.
