A pen is mightier than sword: Kavinder

Jammu, June 30 (Scoop News)- Former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta, released a book titled Jeevan Satya, written by Bindya Raina Tikoo, under the banner of Nirbhay Bharat Foundation at Taskeen Complex, Jammu, in a very simple but impressive manner, in view the present situation due to Pandemic.
Kavinder Gupta, was the chief guest on the occasion, while Suhail Kazmi, eminent Journalist and social activist presided over the function . Ashok Khajuria, former MLA, Khalid Hussain, former DC and a writer, Aslam Qureshi, former IAS and Tarun Uppal, a social activist, also graced the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Kavinder Gupta appreciated the poems based on nationalism in Jeevan Satya and hailed the efforts of youth like Bindya Raina Tikoo for taking the responsibility of nation building through means of literature and culture.
Kavinder said that it is a popular saying that a pen is mightier than the sword, which speaks about the power of writing as It is a pen which can achieve more than a sword does.
" A king can rule only his kingdom but a writer rules the world with his writings", Kavinder said and added that books are also the treasure of knowledge for the future generations.
Suhail Kazmi, while speaking on the occasion, also appreciated and congratulated the author for such wonderful writings on human values and different aspects of the life.
The author and the book got appreciation from all the speakers present on the occasion.
While narrating her journey of writing this book Bindya Raina Tikoo, remembered her late father as sole inspiration and thanked her mother for being epitome of strength. She also made a special mention of her husband for being her guiding force. She also thanked all her friends for their continuous support and encouragement.
Vote of thanks was presented by Tarun Uppal, Founder Nirbhay Bharat Foundation, while Kusum Tikoo anchored the event.
