JKCCA to organize Online Art Exhibition of Rahi's Works

Jammu, August 01 (Scoop News)-Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA) (Regd.), Jammu is going to organize an Online Art Exhibition of the drawings and paintings of veteran artist Sh. V S Rahi of New Delhi, on 9th August, 2020 to celebrate his 92nd Birth Anniversary of Sh. Rahi.
It would be great and an inspiring experience for the new generation artists to have a glimpse of the fifty art works including drawings, paintings and B&W paintings in typical style of Sh. V S Rahi, the great artist of the country still active in the field of creativity, even at the age of 92 years.
Born at Kharela, Hamirpur (UP), Sh. V S Rahi has studied under Padamshree Ramgopal Vijavargiyanand, Padamshree Nandlal Bose, Vishva Bharti, Shantiniketan (West Bengal). He has done Diploma in Fine Arts & Crafts, Diploma in Fine Arts & Handicrafts, Rajsthan School of Art, Jaipur; Special Advanced Training in Mural. He has displayed his art at national and international levels including displays in Japan, London, Sarjah, America, Bulgaria and Mexico, 1996.
Sh. V S Rahi has contributed a lot in the process of promoting art through his contribution at various capacities at different levels. He has been the Advisor of Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts, Jammu, Ex- Vice- President, All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society (AIFACS), New Delhi; Senior Advisor- Art Syllabus Committee, Central Board of School Education (CBSE).
For his contribution in the field of art, he has been awarded with honours like 'Rashtriya Chitrakar', Kala Shree, Kalaratna, Veteran Artists Honfor his services to Art & Artists andour, Honour and Diamond Jubilee Award by AIFACS, New Delhi, Maharana Sajjan Singh Award by Maharana Mewar Foundation, Rajsthan Sanstha Sangh Award and Parishad Samman by Sahitya Kala Parishad, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, Awards in All India Art Exhibitions at Jaipur, Banaras and New Delhi etc.
His vision & wisdom is reflected through his creations being displayed in the exhibition. His typical Rajput Art Style in art works, reflecting the influence of life styles and traditional art styles prevailing in Rajsthan is quite evident and impressive. His bold and straightforwardedness in statement are quite effective to impress the onlooker. The black & white drawings as well as paintings are equally effective in their visual and aesthetical appeal.
It may be mentioned here that JKCCA is a premier organization of J&K working with missionary zeal for the last twenty years for the development of Art, Culture & Languages in and outside the state. JKCCA has organized a large number of art & culture activities including six International Art Exhibitions and a number of National Exhibitions and Camps of Art across the states of the country. JKCCA is going to organize 7th International Art Exhibition (Online) on 11th August, 2020.
