Jan Abhiyan activities in full swing across Kathua
233 Domicile, 140 Category certificates issued under Adhikar Abhiyan
Kathua,September 15 (Scoop News)-Jan Abhiyan activities are in full swing in Kathua as 233 Domicile, 140 Category certificates were issued at Adhikar Abhiyan camps held across the District.
As part of public outreach activities before Phase III of the Back to Village programme, District Development Commissioner Kathua Om Parkash Bhagat today attended Jan Sunwai Camp at Barnoti Block.
The BDC chairman, Brijeshwar Singh, ACD Narayan Dutt, Tehsildar Gourav Sharma; BDO, Suraj Chander Singh; District & Sectoral officer and a large number of panchs, Sarpanchs and locals attended the camp.
Deputations from Panchayats apprised the DDC about the issues pertaining to the development of their panchayats and submitted memorandum of demands.
The DDC gave patient hearing and directed concerned officers to prioritise development works in consultation with Panchayat representatives. He said the aim of the Government to organise Jan Abhiyan & B2V Program was to resolve all the public issues in a time bound manner. He exhorted upon the officers and field functionaries to maintain close liaison with elected representatives and be responsive to their issues and demands.
Earlier, the officers of Social Welfare, Agriculture, Banks, RDD and Revenue Departments threw light on various schemes and services offered by their Department and process to avail these schemes and services.
30 Domicile Certificates were also distributed among the applicants during the camp.
A similar camp was organised at Block headquarter Dinga Amb where BDO, Sania Haq Khan and block level officers listened to the people's problem.
Officers of Labour, Sheep Husbandry, Sericulture, Agriculture, Fisheries, RDD, Irrigation & Flood Control, Veterinary Departments were present.
At 'Adhikar Abhiyan' camp at Plassi panchayat of Tehsil Basohli, Tehsildar Aman Anand distributed 40 Domicile Certificates, 50 Income certificates and 55 category certificates to the applicants.
At Panchayat Kishanpur, Billawar, Tehsildar handed over 163 Domicile Certificates and 35 category certificates to the applicants.
Information campaign is also reported from several other panchayats where the message of Jan Abhiyan and B2V3 is being given to the masses through Beating of drums and door to door campaign by the field functionaries of different departments.
