| My Town My Pride: DDC Rajouri discusses modalities for implementation of the programme | | Rajouri , October 16 (Scoop News)- To discuss the modalities regarding the upcoming 'My Town My Pride programme' to be held on 19th and 20th October in all the Municipal committees and Municipal councils of the district, District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh on Friday convened a meeting of the concerned officers.
'My Town My Pride' launched by the LG administration aims at to further empower and strengthen the framework of the Urban Local Bodies. The 2-day programme will include closer review of their functioning besides taking up mobilisation of funds towards developmental activities in addition to the public outreach.
The DDC said that the two-day long flagship program 'My Town My Pride' for the Urban areas shall be conducted on the lines of Back to Village programme during which public outreach camps would be held to listen to their grievances and to provide them a number of Government services at their doorsteps.
The DDC informed that prior to the commencement of the 'My Town My village programme, 'Jan Abhiyan for one day shall be organised at specific locations in which the officers and field functionaries of different departments would aware the public about the government schemes and welfare programmes being implemented by their departments and shall also provide benefits to the common masses under such schemes and programmes.
The DDC asked the concerned officers to generate massive awareness among the public about the programme and also motivate them to ensure healthy participation to meet the objectives of the programme.
The DDC also asked the concerned officers to ensure that the SOPs guidelines are followed, while carrying out different activities related to the programme to avoid the risk of COVID19 infection.
