SOS International to observe black day on October 22: Chuni

Jammu, October 18 (Scoop News)-: S. O. S. International – An Organization for PoK Displaced Persons is going to observe black-day on October 22, 2020 as usual has been observing in every year because on this day the Pakistan has wreaked first full-fledge the invaders (at that time they were called as Qabalies) attack on the Jammu & Kashmir with a sole motive to change its demography, which somehow Pak has snatched the three districts and killed more than 70000 persons including women and children besides forced rest of the persons to flee from their native places in the darkness of night to save their lives.

In a statement, Rajiv Chuni Chairman S. O. S. International said that in the history of Jammu & Kashmir the October 22 is a black day as on this day the newly created Pakistan in 1947 has engineered a full-fledge intruder attack (Terrorism) on the innocent Hindus & Sikhs who were living in their native places peacefully and added that and on the intervening night of October 23, 1947 it was Muzaffarabad fall. They mercilessly killed the people including women and toddlers, besides they brutally raped the girls and abducted young women of Hindus and Sikhs. After this they turned toward Mirpur and Poonch and repeated the same cruelty. He said & quoted “Ever since the falls of Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, Gilgit and Poonch in 1947, when tribal invaders killed 70,000 of their kin and we had to flee to safety-we are still the camp people.
He said that in the real sense the Pakistan has started its agenda of ethnic cleaning and demography change of Jammu & Kashmir on October 22, 1947 when the first bullet in this context was fired in the area of Muzaffarabad district and later it spread in other districts but the then brave men and women living in these districts of Mirpur, Poonch, Muzaffarabad and Gilgit had fought with Pak regular army and armed invaders which confined the attackers in three districts only otherwise it could be more worse.

Censuring the illogical, irrational and unethical statements of some persons with an ulterior motive to distort the history of Jammu & Kashmir, Chuni said that those who are saying that Pakistan has started invading, terrorism and demography change spree in J&K during 1990, are very poor in history or they have some ulterior motive and hidden agenda to garble the rich history of once princely state Jammu & Kashmir. “I urge to such persons please rectify the historical facts before speaking otherwise such wrong narratives will more damage the interests of Jammu & Kashmir in future too,” Mr. Chuni added.

He said that for the DPs of 1947 from Pakistan occupied Kashmir, neither the times have changed nor the attitude of the country and state leadership toward them. They feel that they are people of nowhere and their status has remained undefined in the past 73 years. They are neither refugees, nor fully settled citizens. Their agony increases with every passing day, for the past eight decades have been a script of tragedy, mourning and hopelessness.

Elaborating about the black day to be held on October 22, he said that this year too they would observe the black day adjacent to Tawi Bridge near Maharaja Hari Singh Statue and pay floral tributes to all those martyrs who laid their lives to save the Jammu & Kashmir from the clutches of Pakistani army and invaders, besides two minutes silence would be observed and Sarav Dharam Prarthana be organized in the memory of departed soul. He urged the 1947 DPs to participate in the observance of black day on scheduled place and day so that a message may be sent to the world. He requested the people that in the prevailing situation of pandemic of Covid-19 all of us would have to follow the guidelines of the government and must wear masks besides maintaining the social distancing to cope up with the pandemic.

He said, “It has become evident to them the way their rehabilitation has been hanging for the past over 73 years- they have neither homes nor land which they can call their own despite the fact that they are citizens of the state.” He further added that there is no one in government to provide ‘Healing Touch’ to PoJK DPs as they are looking forward from the government. He said that schemes, policies and programmes are being launched by the Government of India or Prime Minister for the welfare of the people could not reach to PoK DPs. He added that the glaring example is recently concluded Back to Village programmes as no any senior officers from the UT administration has visited to PoJK DPs camps whereas the senior officers from the administration have been deputed for Valley Migrant camps and legitimately approved and showered all the schemes to them in one sitting.
