| Police organises martyrs memorial sports festival ‘Jashn-E-Manasbal’ in Ganderbal | |
Srinagar, October 23 (Scoop News)- In order to pay tribute to Police martyrs, J&K Police have taken an initiative by organizing series of events viz; Parades, Sports events, cultural events, debate competitions, visiting families of martyrs to express solidarity with them.
Ganderbal police have also organised a sports festival which commenced on 21-10-2020 on the banks of Mansbal lake. The sports festival will last for 10 days, till 31-10-2020 which includes Shikara race, Badminton tournament, Chess, Volleyball, Snookers, Carom and other events.
Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Shri Shafqat Iqbal was the chief guest on the occasion and inaugurated the sports festival. On the occasion, SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Poswal-JKPS and other senior Police officers were also present.
During the inaugural function, various matches were played in true sportsman’s spirit like Carom, Chess, Volleyball, Badminton, Snooker etc.
Community members and youth have appreciated the efforts of police and expressed hope that police will provide them similar platform in future to show case their talents.
